The crew of Eurolamp WRT overcame the Friday part of Rally Finland. But unfortunately Ukrainian MINI Cooper WRC arrived on the finishes of the most of special stages with hazard flight flashing.

On the second stage of the day (SS3 Halinen) the car of Valery Gorban and Vladimir Korsia became a front-drive car due to breaking of a rear left driveshaft. So the crew war forced to pass the last more than 50 kilometers of morning section as good as in a half-power way. Moreover the second part of the day was not better. At SS9 the just recovered MINI lost the rear drive again. And again the crew war forced to loose precious minutes during the last 30 kilometers of the day.

To do justice to the Ukrainian crew – sportsmen held up under misfortunes and kept their fortitude and confidence in team and themselves and even could afford to fun with the journalists of rally-radio. «A lot of problems today – twice we broke the driveshaft, so front-wheel drive only. Next time maybe we will start with a R2 car…» – joked Vladimir Korsia on the finish of last Friday special stage.

After that the mechanics of Eurolamp WRT said their final word. During the evening service they did not only repair the car, but, in the context of all outlived problems, also made all necessary preventive maintenance to let the crew to end the race without any conkouts.
